Car Insurance Lexus (Car Insurance). 1992 honda accord cuts off while running, then take several attempts to fire up?

1992 honda accord cuts off while running, then take several attempts to fire up? happens usually at the same place coming home from work, check engine light comes on

Does it happen on a hill? Have you replaced the fuel filter? You might have a bunch of crud in the fuel tank. My other thought is that you have a defective coil. They are not too expensive and easy to install. Might be a good first step. its because its a honda.

Lexus . Can a 150cc scooter handle big hills?

Can a 150cc scooter handle big hills? I'm thinking of buying a 150cc scooter to save on gas for going to work. My concern is, on the way home, to get to my house, there's a big hill to climb. It's a steady incline for I would estimate 1.5-2 miles. I don't know the degree of incline, but the best I can describe the hill is,,,in a car, if you're going up and stop halfway up, you can take your foot off the brake while still in drive and stay stationary. You won't roll backwards, but won't ease forward, if that makes since. So that's my question. Can a 150cc scooter handle that hill going between 40-50 mph, or will it rumble it's way up at 20 mph? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. car insurance.

Lexus . How to Replace Oxygen Sensors in a 1996 Ford Explorer

The oxygen sensors in a 1996 Ford Explorer gauge the amount of unburned oxygen present in the exhaust system. A signal is sent to the engine management computer. The unburned oxygen relates to the fuel mixture, and the computer makes continuous adjustments as a result of these signals. There are always at least two sensors on each exhaust system. If the vehicle has dual exhaust, it will have four sensors.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Floor jack
Jack stands
Code scanner
7/8-inch wrench

Step by Step :
1
Connect the code scanner cable end to the OBD port under the dash on the left side of the steering column. The scanner is needed to determine which sensor is defective. Turn the ignition key to the "Run" or "On" position.
2
Press the key marked "Read." The computer will display a five-digit code. Record this code. Cross-reference this code with the code sheet that accompanies the code scanner to identify the faulty sensor. Turn the key off.
3
Raise the vehicle with the floor jack and place jack stands under the frame. Lower the vehicle onto the jack stands. Disconnect the electrical connector from the faulty sensor. If the code indicated that the number 1 sensor is faulty, it will be the one between the engine and the converter. If the number 2 sensor is faulty, it will be the sensor on or behind the converter.
4
Remove the faulty sensor using the 7/8-inch wrench. Turn the sensor counterclockwise to remove it.
5
Install the new sensor and tighten with the wrench. Connect the electrical connector. Lower the vehicle with the floor jack.

Lexus . How to Replace the Oxygen Sensor on a 1997 Ford Ranger XLT

Third generation (1993 through 1997) Ford Rangers came with one of three different engines, all of which use essentially identical oxygen (O2) sensor configurations. Ford's mini-truck was a bit ahead of the OBD-II (on-board diagnostics, series 2) emissions regulations that went into effect in 1996, using an OBD-II compliant catalytic converter and its accompanying second O2 sensor. Regardless of engine, your third-generation XLT uses multiple O2 sensors--one ahead of the converters and one aft. The 4.0L V6-equipped models use one pair of O2 sensors for each of their catalytic converters for a grand total of four.
Difficulty:Moderately Challenging
Instructions Things You'll Need
Floor jack
Jack stands (2)
5/8-inch oxygen sensor socket
3/8-inch drive ratchet
3/8-inch drive, 6-inch extension and U-joint
Open-end wrench set
Anti-seize compound
Flat head screwdriver (Optional)

Step by Step :
1
Consult your local Ford dealership or major auto parts store and have them read the computer's stored codes with an OBD-II scan tool. This service, free at many auto parts stores, will tell you exactly which O2 sensor needs to be replaced.
2
Slide a floor jack under your truck's front cross-member (lateral frame support) and lift the truck until the wheels just dangle off of the ground. Lower your truck onto jack stands with the jack.
3
Unplug the wiring harness from the malfunctioning O2 sensor. You may need to use a flat head screwdriver to remove the harness' locking tab.
4
Remove the O2 sensor with a specialized O2 sensor socket and any combination of extensions and U-joints you need to reach it. You shouldn't need the O2 sensor socket if you are replacing one of the after-converter sensors since there should be plenty of room to fit and swing an open-end wrench.
5
Apply a dab of anti-seize lubricant on the bottom two threads of the new O2 sensor and smear it around the sensor threads with your finger. The anti-seize compound helps to ease later removal if your new O2 sensor becomes defective.
6
Thread the new O2 sensor into the exhaust pipe. Tighten it as much as you can with a ratchet or wrench. It's all but impossible to snap the head off of a new O2 sensor with basic hand tools and no cheater bar, so don't be shy with the elbow grease.
7
Connect the chassis-side wiring harness to the new O2 sensor plug and push it into place until the tab locks in.
8
Disconnect the truck's negative battery terminal with a 1/2-inch wrench and leave it off for five minutes. This will reset your truck's computer, allowing it to recognize the new O2 sensor. Skip this step and your computer will assume the O2 sensor is still malfunctioning, so the check engine light may stay on, and the truck may continue to run poorly.

2. Look at the rotor, but don't attempt to remove it from the vehicle. The brake caliper has to be removed before you can remove a disc brake rotor, and there's no need to do so. If you're working alone, just check the visible part of the rotor for heavy rust, scoring, and uneven wear. Rust generally does no damage unless the vehicle has been standing idle for a long time and the rust has really built up. If your rotor is badly scored or worn unevenly, have a professional determine whether it can be reground or it needs to be replaced. .Chapter 18: Being a Buddy to Your Brakes and Bearings !? C 2 3. Inspect your brake caliper (the component blocking your view of the entire disc brake rotor). Be careful. If the vehicle has been driven recently, the caliper will be hot. If it's cool to the touch, grasp it and gently shake it to make sure that it isn't loosely mounted and its mounting hardware isn't worn. 4. Peek through the dust shield on the caliper and look at the brake pads inside. If the linings on the brake pads look much thinner than the new ones you saw, they probably have to be replaced. If the linings have worn to the metal pads, the disc probably has to be reground as well. 5. Follow the instructions in Chapter 1 to replace your wheel, lug nuts, and hubcap and lower the vehicle to the ground. If the rotor and pads seem to be in good condition and your brake pedal doesn't flutter when you step on it, there's nothing else you need to do. Relining, caliper maintenance, and disc grinding should be left to a professional unless you do the job under supervision at an auto class. Go to a brake specialist (use the Yellow Pages or ask a friendly mechanic to steer you to one) rather than to the corner garage for this kind of work. Call a couple of shops and ask for estimates. Choose neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. Chapter 22 is devoted to finding a good service facility and dealing with them successfully.

Checking and Packing Wheei Bearings As you can see back in Figure 18-4, wheel bearings usually come in pairs of inner and outer bearings. They allow your wheels to turn freely over thou sands of miles by cushioning the contact between the wheel and the spindle it sits on with frictionless bearings and lots of nice, gooey grease. This grease tends to pick up dust, dirt, and little particles of metal, although the bearings are protected to some extent by the hub and the brake drum or disc. * If you have drum brakes, it's important to check the bearings when you check your brakes to make sure that the grease hasn't become fouled with this stuff. If it has, the particles act abrasively to wear away the very connection the bearings are designed to protect, and the result is a noisy, grinding ride. In extreme cases, you could even lose the wheel! If the bearings look cruddy, either repack them yourself or get a professional to do it. 384 Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System

* If you have disc brakes, you have to remove the caliper to get at the bearings. Although this task isn't terribly difficult, certain aspects of the job can create problems for a beginner. Because your brake system can kill you if it isn't assembled properly, I strongly suggest that, if you want to do it yourself, you do the job under supervision at an auto class. Before you check your bearings, consult your owner's manual or dealer to find out whether the bearings on your vehicle are sealed. If they are, you can't repack them. Usually, only the non-drive wheels (the front wheels on rear-wheel-drive cars and the rear wheels on front-wheel-drive cars) have repackable wheel bearings. Vehicles with front-wheel drive have sealed front bearings, but some have packable rear ones. The bearings on four-wheel-drive vehicles are quite complicated and should be repacked professionally. If you don't want to — or shouldn't — check your bearings right now, try the process in "A quick way to tell if your bearing's wearing" at the end of this section. Then have your wheel bearings repacked when a repair facility is doing a front-end alignment or a brake job. Because they'll have the wheels off anyway, you can eliminate having to pay for duplicate labor. Inspecting and repackingyour ufheet bearings If you have disc brakes, you have to remove the caliper to get the disc off the spindle in order to get at the inner bearings. In this case, I think that you should inspect and pack them only under supervision at an auto class or
